OpenVireo is free and open source. The desktop app, the browser extension, the CLI, your local databases and a self-hosted sync server are free, with no limits, always. Plans pay for the hosted service: storage on our servers, sharing and teams.
Security is never a paid extra. Two-step verification, account recovery, the Emergency Kit, device management, key rotation and export are in every plan, including Free.

Questions
What happens if I cancel or go over a limit?
Nothing is locked or deleted. Your vaults keep opening and syncing; you just can't add more vaults, people or service accounts than your plan allows until you upgrade or remove some.
Can you see my passwords?
No. Vaults are encrypted on your devices before they are uploaded, on every plan. We store only encrypted files.
Can I run it all myself?
Yes. The sync server is open source; on your own server there are no plans and no limits.
