OpenVireo is a free, open-source, cross-platform password manager. It stores your passwords in the standard KeePass (KDBX) format on your own devices, fills them into apps and websites, and, if you want, syncs and shares encrypted vaults through an optional account, OpenVireo Web, or your own sync server.
A fork of KeePassXC
OpenVireo is a fork of KeePassXC, the community-developed password manager created and maintained by the KeePassXC Team and its contributors, which in turn grew out of KeePassX. Almost all of OpenVireo's desktop app, and the OpenVireo Browser extension, is their work, and we are grateful for it. OpenVireo adds accounts with end-to-end encrypted sync and sharing, organizations, service accounts, a self-hosted sync server, and OpenVireo Web, and it keeps following upstream KeePassXC development.
OpenVireo is an independent project. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by the KeePassXC Team. Please report problems with OpenVireo to us, not to the KeePassXC project. KeePassXC's original copyright and licence notices are kept in the source code, as the GPL requires.

Your .kdbx databases stay compatible: they open in KeePassXC, KeePassDX, Strongbox, and other KeePass clients.

Please report bugs and request features in the OpenVireo issue tracker on GitHub. Problems with the browser extension go to the OpenVireo Browser issue tracker.
If you need to report a security issue, please open a GitHub security advisory (preferred) or email [email protected]. Please do not send user questions, bug reports, or support requests that way; the public issue tracker is the place for those.
